The Pat & Aaron Show Commercial Free: 3/29/23

The Pat & Aaron Show begins with the guys talking about how excited they are about the MLB season starting tomorrow, and Aaron says "This is it, opening day of baseball." Then the conversation transitions into a discussion about the Tampa Bay Lightning's win over the Carolina Hurricane, and that this was a huge game for the Bolts! Pat & Aaron talk about how great Brayden Point has been this year, and that last night's game represented that. Then the guys play audio from Todd Bowles as he seems pretty confident with Baker Mayfield, and the quotes from Todd confuse Aaron. Then the hour ends with Today's Top Headlines.

The 7:00 AM hour of the show begins with Aaron Jacobson saying that the Tampa Bay Rays need to step up their leadership with the absence of Kevin Kiermaier. The guys debate how important he was for the team, as Aaron thought he was a good leader, but Pat disagrees. Aaron also explains that Shane McClanahan is the ace of the team. Then the guys play some audio as Todd Bowles says he hasn't spoken to Kyle Trask much recently! Then an audio clip where Todd brings up Tom Brady and Aaron says he is sick of hearing about it. Then the hour ends with Over/Under as executive producer Ryan Hoppe reads off today's bets!

The 8:00 AM hour begins with the one and only Doug Waechter live in studio! The show finally gives Doug a Goon Squad beer, and he says he's excited to try out the drink. Then the discussion first begins by talking about the pitch clock violation, and that you need to focus on your delivery. Then Doug explains how much of a beast Pete Fairbanks is, and how intense he is when he is on the mound. After that, the discussion goes to Doug saying that Kevin Kiermaier's presence will be missed for sure. Then the guys play a commercial from both Joey Votto and Bryan Cranston. The next segment includes a discussion about what type of player Aaron Jacobson was, and how far he could have gone. Then Doug talks about how hard it is to project what a player is going to do in the regular season after what they have showed in spring training. After that, Doug explains how the Rays need to keep Wander Franco for the whole season, and more!
