Nowinski Blasts NFL For Letting Chung Play On

We saw New England Patriots safety Eugene Chung on the turf in the third quarter Sunday after hitting his own teammate while trying to tackle Eagles running back Jay Ajayi.  Chris Nowinski, the co-founder of the Boston University CTE Center who joined us from Radio Row last week, went after the Patriots and the NFL for allowing Chung to return to the field mere moments after he was taken off the field and reportedly evaluated for a concussion.

Chung would leave the game in the fourth quarter after another big hit and then being diagnosed with a concussion, and Nowinski would engage with 12-year training staff veteran Aaron Borgmann about whether the officials and the team did enough to prevent another trauma.

But Nowinski was steadfast in his assertion that the league screwed up in allowing Chung to return to the field where he could take another traumatic head shot.
