10 Takeaways From Bucs Training Camp Today

- Good to see OJ Howard getting reps with the 1s to start 11-on-11s. I know Cam Brate has been solid as a rock for the Bucs the past couple of seasons, especially in the red zone, but to think of the possibilities of an offense with TWO dynamic pass-catching TE's.... WOW!

- Speaking of Howard, remember those plays last year where the play went one way and Jameis threw back the other way to a wide open OJ? Yeah, the Bucs ran that play again today and Fitz found the second-year TE down the left sideline for a long touchdown.

- Antony Auclair was another tight end who had some nice moments last year as a rookie, but this year has been a different story. I've seen him drop a couple of easy passes right in the breadbasket and I'm not sure if his spot is guaranteed this season.

- Song of the day is DEFINITELY "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan. Doesn’t matter where you're from or what type of music you listen to, everyone starts bobbing their head when this song comes on.

- I know Ronald Jones has been a little inconsistent to start Camp but his speed is at another level. He leaked out into the flat for a pass from Fitz and was up the field in a hurry.

- Freddie Martino was not practicing today and that can't be good as he tries to vie for that 5th WR spot.

- Beau Allen is a winner. He’s always side by side with McCoy at the head of the line for drills and he’s constantly asking questions and talking with Coach Buck.

- Chris Godwin, have a day!! Again!!! Godwin had an unbelievable tip and catch on MJ Stewart in 1-on-1 drills and then later on, made another great catch during 11-on-11s. (VIDEO BELOW)

- I know DeSean Jackson is a big part of the passing game, but I'd love to see him back there returning some punts this season. He has the potential to break one and plays like that are HUGE momentum swings that the Bucs could really use.

- I loved what I saw out of rookie CB Carlton Davis today. During 1-on-1 drills he had a nice pass breakup on Mike Evans where he stood his ground and played physical. And then later on during 11-on-11's, he had another breakup on a deep throw down the right sideline. That kid is not afraid to play physical and I like it!
