Bucs Upset Eagles, 32-9 To Advance To The Divisional Round

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-8) beat the Philadelphia Eagles (11-7) 32-9 Monday at Raymond James Stadium.

The Buccaneers received the opening kickoff and marched down the field, capped off with a 28-yard field goal try by Chase McLaughlin, giving Tampa Bay an early 3-0 lead over Philadelphia. The Bucs defense stood tall, giving Tampa Bay good field position, leading to a 44-yard TD pass from Baker Mayfield to David Moore, making it 10-0 Tampa Bay with 5:47 left in the opening quarter.

The Bucs continued to tack on points, this time a 54-yard field goal try from Chase McLaughlin, extending Tampa Bay's lead to 13-0 over the Eagles with 14:03 left in the opening half. The Eagles did tack on a 47-yard field of their own, made by Jake Elliott with 11:31 left in the second quarter. Tampa Bay responded with a field goal try of their own as Chase McLaughlin notched a 48-yard field goal with 5:35 remaining in the quarter. Jalen Hurts and Eagle offense marched down the field, Hurts found TE Dallas Goedert on a 5-yard TD pass. Philadelphia's two-point try was no good. The Bucs led 16-9 with 3:06 left in the half.

The Buccaneer defense forced a safety, giving the Bucs a 18-9 lead over Philadelphia. The Bucs also were able to add six more, as Baker Mayfield connected with Trey Palmer on a 56-yard TD, giving the Bucs a 25-9 lead late in the third quarter.

The Buccaneers were not finished, Baker Mayfield connected with Chris Godwin on a 23-yard TD pass, extending Tampa's lead, 32-9 with 5:42 left in the game.
