The Buccaneers Are Division Champions Following A 9-0 Win Over Carolina

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-8) beat the Carolina Panthers (2-15) 9-0 Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

Baker Mayfield started the game for the Bucs, and Tampa Bay did receive the opening kickoff; neither offense was able to get anything going early on in the game. In fact, neither team put points on the scoreboard in the first quarter or play.

The Buccaneers were able to score the game's opening points with a Chase McLaughlin 36-yard field goal with 4:13 left in the second quarter. McLaughlin tacked on another field goal, this time from 57 yards out; Tampa Bay went into the half up 6-0.

Neither offense had success in the third quarter; Carolina did attempt a 52-yard field goal at the end of the quarter, it was wide left. The Buccaneers went into the final quarter of regulation with a 6-0 lead.

The Buccaneers relied on Chase McLaughlin's leg once more; this time, he knocked down a critical 39-yard field goal with 10:18 left in regulation, as the Bucs went up by two scores, 9-0.
