Washington handed the Steelers their first loss of the NFL Season in Week 13, and as if QB Alex Smith's comeback story already wasn't something out of a movie in 2020- his leg was oozing blood after being gashed by a cleat, he simply taped it up and finished the game (bloody sock and all) WOW!
Smith's bloody sock reminded people of former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling's bloody sock during a historic come-from-behind victory over the Yankees during the '04 ALCS. Schilling pitched the Red Sox to a Game 6 win over New York, and eventually Boston won the World Series.
