Epic catches are always fun to watch in baseball, but there's something about a fan grabbing one out of the air that just feels cooler... well, a Rays fan during Spring Training did just that this weekend, ONE HANDED!
VIA For The Win: We’re just a couple days into MLB spring training, and one Tampa Bay Rays fan showed up to the ballpark ready to play.
During Sunday’s Grapefruit League game against the New York Yankees at Charlotte Sports Park, the Rays’ Lucius Fox drove a curling foul ball towards the grassy area beyond right-field stands. The ball could have easily landed in that picnic area, but one Rays fan was determined to catch the ball on the fly.
And, oh man, did he ever earn it.
This fan channeled Odell Beckham Jr., and laid out in full extension to make the one-handed grab.
