VIDEO: Broadcaster Butchers Rays Player's Name At MLB All-Star Game

WATCH: The Rays sent 3 players to the MLB All-Star Game in Cleveland, including AL Rookie of the Year front runner Brandon Lowe (rhymes with NOW) Well, that's cool and all, but it would be nice if Joe Buck could get his name right on the NATIONALLY TELEVISED BROADCAST.... many fans first glimpse of Brandon doesn't do the young slugger justice!

Story Snippets VIA Yahoo Sports: Imagine walking to the plate in your first All-Star Game appearance, feeling like you’re on top of the world. Then you glance at the scoreboard, where your name appears in bright lights alongside the photo of someone who clearly isn’t you.

That was the unfortunate experience of New York Mets outfielder Jeff McNeil during Tuesday’s All-Star Game at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

How about some other spelling errors on player names....

Colorado Rockies outfielder David Dahl and Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras both had their first names misspelled.

 

Then it was the right names but the wrong teams!

While the Arizona DiamondbacksKetel Marte and the Los Angeles DodgersCody Bellinger were identified as members of the Atlanta Braves.
