Here Come the Excuses...

Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury

It's a staple of boxing: the excuses a fighter makes after a devastating loss. This time, a fighter is making an excuse based on the pre-fight entrance into the ring. In Saturday's heavyweight title loss to Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder strolled into the ring in a 40-pound costume he says was a tribute to Black History Month. Because of the excessive weight of the costume, Wilder claims that he didn't have his legs under him during his 7th-round TKO loss to Fury. Let's see if Wilder learns his lesson in the anticipated rematch, which could take place in July, according to reports.
