In a game where the Bucs out-gained the Titans by 143 yards and had a franchise record broken by Mike Evans, costly turnovers at inopportune times and mental errors caused the Bucs to lose by a final score of 27-23.
Here is a list of the most impressive players from the Bucs loss.
WR Mike Evans
Evans broke the Bucs’ franchise record for career receptions with 431 in what was a dominant game by the best receiver in team history. Evans said he was going to play better after the London game and he absolutely did play better with a great bounce back game. Evans put the team on his back, specifically during the Bucs’ touchdown drive at the end of the second quarter, where he was responsible for all 75 of the Bucs’ yards en route to his first touchdown reception. This included a terrific catch on a jump ball for 46 yards that put Tampa Bay in the red zone. Evans got it going early in the second half and broke the Bucs’ franchise receptions record on his second touchdown catch. The deep ball game was working very well for Evans, who ended the day with 11 catches for 198 yards and two touchdowns.
