Tampa Bay Buccaneers Release Latest Depth Chart

Buccaneers - Mike Evans

With Bucs’ Week 1 match up against the San Francisco 49ers coming up on Sunday, Tampa Bay has released the team’s unofficial depth chart as a part of their weekly release.

Much of the depth chart remains unsurprising compared to how the first- and second-string reps have looked, sans injuries, throughout most of training camp in the preseason, however some placements do a bit to clarify how battles have shaken up leading up to the regular season.

It appears M.J. Stewart will begin the season as the starting as the nickel cornerback according to the depth chart, although he could be in line for some work at safety, with himself and Jamel Dean being listed as the second-string behind Carlton Davis and Vernon Hargreaves. Sean Murphy-Bunting is listed as the fifth cornerback and to round out the secondary Mike Edwards and Jordan Whitehead are listed as the starting safeties.

Justin Watson is listed as the second-string wide receiver alongside Breshad Perriman, with Scotty Miller and Bobo Wilson listed as the third-string tandem.

Wilson and Miller then sit first and second, respectively, as punt returners while newly-acquired running back T.J. Logan is listed as the lead man for kick return duties, followed by Wilson and Ronald Jones.

Arians mentioned in his press conference on Tuesday that Logan will be active for the Bucs’ home opener on Sunday.
