The Tampa Bay Rays (6-7) defeated the Atlanta Braves (3-10) 6-3 on Friday night at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa to win the opener of the three-game interleague series.
Danny Jansen went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, including his first homer as a Ray to help key the victory. Taj Bradley (2-0, 3.71) allowed one earned run on five hits in six innings of work while striking out seven and walking two.
The Rays will now look to win the middle game of the three-game series coming up on Saturday night. First pitch Saturday is scheduled for 4:10 PM - Chris Adams-Wall begins pregame coverage at 3:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
