The Philadelphia Phillies (88-58) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (71-75) 3-2 on Wednesday night at Citizen Bank Park. The Phillies have now swept the three-game interleague series with Tampa Bay.
Nick Castellanos hit a two-run homer in the first inning to give Philadelphia an early lead. The Rays rallied to tie it thanks to a RBI single from Taylor Walls in the second and a solo homer from Jonathan Aranda in the sixth. Weston Wilson had a RBI single to break the tie in the bottom of the sixth, and what would prove to be the game-winning hit.
