The Los Angeles Dodgers (78-53) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (65-65) 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Dodgers Stadium. The win gives LA the series win in the three-game interleague series.
The Dodgers struck first in this game when Enrique Hernandez hit a solo homer to give LA a 1-0 lead. Jonny DeLuca tied the game 1-1 with a solo homer in the seventh inning. That would be the score going into the eighth inning, when Mookie Betts hit a two-run homer to give the Dodgers a 3-1 lead they would not relinquish.
The Rays now head to Seattle and will begin a three-game series against the Mariners on Monday night. First pitch on Monday is scheduled for 9:40 PM - Chris Adams-Wall begins pregame coverage at 9:00 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
