The Tampa Bay Rays (65-64) defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers (77-53) 9-8 in ten innings on Saturday night in Los Angeles to even the three-game series at 1-1.
The Rays built a 4-0 lead early but fell behind 7-5 after the seventh inning. The Rays got single runs in the eighth and ninth to tie it, before Jose Caballero hit a two-run blast in the top of the tenth to give the Rays a 9-7 lead. The Dodgers got one back in their half of the tenth but the Rays held on for the 9-8 win.
The Rays will now look to win the series against the Dodgers coming up in the finale on Sunday afternoon. First pitch on Sunday is scheduled for 4:10 PM - pregame coverage begins with Chris Adams-Wall hosting This Week In Rays Baseball at 2:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
