The Atlanta Braves (38-30) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (33-38) 9-2 on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta. The Braves have now won the interleague series with the finale coming up on Sunday afternoon.
The Braves got to Rays starter Ryan Pepiot (4-4, 4.57) for five earned runs on six hits - all of those runs coming in the fifth inning. He struck out four and walked three in his four and two-third innings of work.
