The Tampa Bay Rays (31-31) beat the Miami Marlins (21-41) 5-3 on Wednesday night in Miami. The win gives the Rays three wins in a row and a sweep in the short two-game series in south Florida.
Isaac Paredes drove in two in the first before Josh Lowe hit a RBI double that made it 3-0. After Miami scored two in the bottom of the first, the Rays got RBI hits from Brandon Lowe and Isaac Paredes in the third to make it 5-2. The Marlins got one back in the fifth but that would be it as the Rays bullpen shut down the Marlins from the sixth on to get the win.
The Rays are now off on Thursday before hosting the Baltimore Orioles in a four-game series on Friday night. First pitch Friday is scheduled for 6:50 PM - pregame coverage on Friday begins with Ronnie Lane hosting the Inside Pitch at 5:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
