Rays Salvage Finale From Orioles

The Tampa Bay Rays (29-31) defeated the Baltimore Orioles (37-19) 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at Camden Yards to avoid being swept in Baltimore.

Baltimore took the lead early, when Gunnar Henderson homered to right to lead off the game for the Os. They added runs in the third and the fourth to build a 3-0 lead.

The Rays were able to claw back in this one. Jose Caballero hit a two-run homer in the seventh to pull within 3-2. Then in the eighth inning it was Jose Siri coming through with a two-run double that would lift the Rays to the win.

The Rays are now off on Monday before beginning a short two-game series against the Marlins in Miami on Tuesday night. First pitch Tuesday is scheduled for 6:40 PM - pregame coverage begins with Ronnie Lane hosting the Inside Pitch at 5:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
