Rays Beat Blue Jays For 98th Win

The Tampa Bay Rays (98-63) defeated the Toronto Blue Jays (89-72) 7-5 on Saturday afternoon at Rogers Centre in Toronto. Their 98 wins is the second highest win total in club history, second only to the 2021 Rays who won 100 games.

Toronto built a 4-2 lead in the fourth inning before Harold Ramirez hit a two-run bomb to tie the game 4-4 in the fifth. That would be the score through nine innings - in the tenth the Rays got RBI hits from Taylor Walls and Junior Caminero to build a 7-4 lead. Toronto got one back in the bottom of the frame but that was all as the Rays held on to a 7-5 win.

The Rays and Blue Jays meet in the regular season finale on Sunday afternoon in Toronto. First pitch on Sunday is scheduled for 3:07 PM - Chris Adams-Wall begins pregame coverage at 2:30 PM on AM 620 WDAE.
