Rays Take Series From Red Sox

The Tampa Bay Rays (85-55) defeated the Boston Red Sox (72-68) 3-1 on Wednesday night. The Rays now have won the three game series from Boston and will host the Mariners for a four game beginning on Thursday night.

Tyler Glasnow (8-5, 3.07) tied a career high with fourteen strikeouts in six innings of work in which he allowed just one run on three hits.

After falling behind 1-0, Brandon Lowe hit a solo homer in the third to tie the game 1-1. Isaac Paredes hit a solo shot of his own in the fourth, and Harold Ramirez hit a RBI double in the fifth, to make it 3-1 Tampa Bay.
