The Tampa Bay Rays (84-55) defeated the Boston Red Sox (72-67) 8-6 in eleven innings on Tuesday night. The win evens the three game AL-East series at one game apiece.
The Rays built leads of 3-0 and 5-2 in regulation, but the game went to extras tied 5-5. After a scoreless tenth inning, the Red Sox went ahead in the top of the eleventh. However, Brandon Lowe was the hero of the night, blasting a three-run, walk-off homer to win the game 8-6.
