The Tampa Bay Rays (79-52) defeated the New York Yankees (62-67) 3-0 on Saturday evening at Tropicana Field. The three game series is now tied at a game apiece after New York won the opener on Friday night.
Tyler Glasnow (7-4, 3.12) was the star of this game, allowing just one hit in six shutout innings in which he struck out four and walked two. All told the Yankees managed only two hits against the Rays pitching staff in this one.
The Rays will now look to win the three game series with the Yankees when they meet in the second game of the three game series on Sunday afternoon.
