Rays Take Series From Giants

The Tampa Bay Rays (73-50) beat the San Francisco Giants (64-57) 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon in San Francisco.

The Rays offense came through with three home runs, including an inside-the-park homer from Luke Raley in the sixth, to lead the way. Josh Lowe also hit a solo shot in the fourth, and Brandon Lowe added a two-run blast in the fifth.

Aaron Civale (6-3, 2.44) was excellent, pitching six shutout innings in which he allowed five hits while striking out five and walking one to get the win,

The Rays now travel south as they head from San Francisco to Anaheim for a three-game series against Shohei Ohtani and the Angels. After a day of Thursday, the series will begin on Friday night.
