The Tampa Bay Rays (70-48) defeated the Cleveland Guardians (56-61) 9-8 on Friday night at Tropicana Field.
The Rays had a 8-5 lead going into the ninth inning, but Cleveland got three ninth-inning runs to tie the game. Moments later, Wander Franco was the hero, hitting a walk-off solo home run that gave the home team a big win.
The Rays will try to win the game against Cleveland on Saturday afternoon. First pitch Saturday is scheduled for 4:10 PM - Chris Adams-Wall begins pregame coverage at 3:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
