Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena had a Home Run Derby to remember on Monday night in Seattle, hitting 82 home runs on the night. After advancing to the Finals, he fell just short of winning the competition. Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr won the Derby by hitting 25 homers in the Final round, to just 23 for Arozarena. Guerrero Jr joined his father, Hall of Fame outfielder Vladimir Guerrero Sr, to be come the first father-son duo to win the competition.
Up next is the MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday night in Seattle. The festivities begin at 8:00 PM - the Rays will be represented by Arozarena, first baseman Yandy Diaz, shortstop Wander Franco, and ace pitcher Shane McClanahan (who will not pitch because he is on the IL). You can hear complete coverage of the MLB All-Star Game on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620 your Home of Rays Baseball.
