The Seattle Mariners (39-42) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (57-29) 8-3 on Saturday evening in the Pacific Northwest.
The Mariners took a 2-0 lead after three innings, but Luke Raley hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning to tie the game 2-2. The Mariners took the lead back in the bottom of the sixth before getting three in the seventh and two in the eighth to take control of the game.
Tyler Glasnow (2-2, 4.50) struck out eleven while allowing three earned runs on seven hits in five and two-thirds innings of work to take the loss.
The Rays and Mariners meet in the third game of their three game series on Sunday afternoon. Taj Bradley is scheduled to start for the Rays and is expected to face Luis Castillo for the Ms. First pitch is scheduled for 4:10 PM - Chris Adams-Wall begins pregame coverage with This Week In Rays Baseball at 2:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
