The Tampa Bay Rays (53-26) defeated the Kansas City Royals (21-55) 11-3 on Friday night at Tropicana Field.
The Rays offense erupted for 11 runs on 17 hits, getting hits from all nine members of the lineup. Jose Siri led the way with a 3-for-4 night with a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored.
Zach Eflin (9-3, 3.35) pitched six innings allowed three earned runs on seven hits while striking out seven and walking two.
