The Oakland Athletics (18-50) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (48-21) 4-3 on Monday night in Oakland.
The As got to Rays starter Zach Eflin for four earned runs in four and two-thirds innings of work, his shortest start of the season. Jose Siri hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning, but that would be the only offense the Rays got on the night.
