The Los Angeles Dodgers (32-21) beat the Tampa Bay Rays (38-16) 6-5 on Saturday evening at Tropicana Field to even the three game series at one game apiece.
Tyler Glasnow was activated from the IL on Saturday and made his season debut for the Rays. In four and one-third innings of work he allowed three earned runs on five hits while striking out eight and walking one.
After the Dodgers built a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning, the Rays got two in the fourth and two in the fifth to take a 4-3 lead, thanks in part to Harold Ramirez's two-run blast in the fifth. The Dodgers took the lead back with two in the seventh and one in the eighth as they built a 6-4 lead.
Wander Franco drove in a run in a ninth that would pull Tampa Bay within 6-5, but that would be as close as the Rays would get. Colin Poche (3-1, 2.41) took the loss out of the bullpen for the Rays.
The Rays and Dodgers now meet in the rubber game of their three game series on Sunday morning. First pitch from Tropicana Field is scheduled for 11:35 AM on Sunday morning - pregame coverage begins with Neil Solondz hosting This Week In Rays Baseball at 10:00 AM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
