Astros Blank Rays For Second Straight Night

The Houston Astros (14-11) beat the Tampa Bay Rays (20-5) 1-0 on Wednesday night at Tropicana Field. Tampa Bay was shut out in each of the last two games against the Astros.

One first inning run would all the Astros would need in this game. After Calvin Faucher (0-1, 5.58) allowed that earned run as the opener, Josh Fleming came in and was brilliant, pitching six innings of four-hit ball where he struck out two and walked one.

The Astros now head to Chicago to face the White Sox in a four game series. Ace Shane McClanahan will get the start for the Rays, while Dylan Cease will take the ball for Chicago. First pitch between the Rays and the White Sox is scheduled for 7:10 PM - Ronnie & T-Kras begin pregame coverage at 6:00 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
