The Toronto Blue Jays (10-5) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (13-2) 5-2 on Saturday afternoon at Rogers Center in Toronto, Ontario.
After the Blue Jays got a run in the third, Taylor Walls answered with a solo home run in the top of the fourth to make it 1-1. Toronto then answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and never looked back, going on to a 5-2 win.
Calvin Faucher got the start as the opener and allowed one earned run in two and two-thirds innings on two hits while striking out two and walking one. Trevor Kelley (0-1, 9.00) took the loss in his major league debut out of the bullpen.
