The Baltimore Orioles (49-49) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (53-45) 3-0 on Thursday afternoon at Camden Yards in Baltimore. The win gives the O's a series win in the four game series.
Ryan Yarbrough (0-6, 5.11) put together a good outing but was the tough luck loser. He allowed one earned run on four hits while striking out eight and walking none in six innings of work.
The Orioles added two more runs in the eighth inning when Trey Mancini hit a two-run inside-the-park home run in the eighth on a ball that was misplayed by Rays right fielder Josh Lowe.
The Rays now return home for a five-game homestand which begins with a three game series against the Cleveland Guardians on Friday night. First pitch between Tampa Bay and Cleveland is scheduled for 7:10 PM - pregame coverage begins with Jay Recher hosting the Inside Pitch at 6:00 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
