The Toronto Blue Jays announced on Wednesday they had fired manager Charlie Montoyo, who went 236-236 in parts of four seasons with the club.
Before joining the Blue Jays as their manager, he had worked in the Rays organization for more then twenty years. He spent his final six years with the big league club, including the last three as bench coach. Before that, he had worked 18 years as a minor league manager in the orginization.
