Rays Get Win On Rainy Night At Fenway

The Tampa Bay Rays (44-37) defeated the Boston Red Sox (45-36) 8-4 on Tuesday night at Fenway Park in Boston.

The Rays got the scoring started with a bases clearing double from Kevin Kiermaier in the first inning to take a 3-0 lead. Boston answered with a two-run shot from Xander Bogaerts in the bottom of the first and a solo homer from Trevor Story in the second to tie the game 3-3.

The Rays pulled away with four runs in the sixth inning and another in the seventh to build an 8-3 lead. Boston got one back in the seventh but Tampa Bay held on for an 8-4 win.

The Rays will now look to win the three game series at Fenway Park on Wednesday night. First pitch on Wednesday is scheduled for 7:10 PM - pregame coverage begins with Jay Recher hosting the Inside Pitch at 6:00 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
