The Texas Rangers (24-24) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (28-21) 3-0 on Tuesday night. The Rangers have now won the first two games of the four game series in Arlington.
The Rangers got all the offense they would need in the fourth inning. Corey Seager and Adolis Garcia both homered in that frame to give Texas a 3-0 lead that would stand.
Ryan Yarbrough (0-2, 4.00) pitched into the seventh inning, but took the loss after allowing three earned runs on six hits while striking out three in six and two-thirds innings of work.
The Rays once again will look to bounce back on Wednesday evening - first pitch is scheduled for 8:05 PM in Arlington. Neil Solondz begins pregame coverage at 7:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
