The Tampa Bay Rays acquired outfielder Harold Ramirez from the Chicago Cubs on Friday night, releasing the following statement. "The Rays have acquired OF Harold Ramírez from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for minor league INF Esteban Quiroz. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Rays placed RH Nick Anderson (recovery from right elbow surgery) on the 60-day IL."
Ramirez has hit .271 over parts of three seasons with Miami and Cleveland. In 99 games with Cleveland last season, he hit .268 with seven home runs and 41 RBI.
