Rays Rout Yankees For 100th Win

The Tampa Bay Rays (100-61) defeated the New York Yankees (91-70) 12-2 on Saturday afternoon in the Bronx for their 100th win of the 2021 season.

Brandon Lowe set the pace with three home runs - a three-run shot in the first, a three-run homer in the third, and a solo shot in the seventh to finish with seven RBIs on the night.

Shane Baz got the start, allowing just one run on one hit in two and two thirds innings of work. Luis Patino (5-3, 4.31) got the win out of the bullpen after pitching two shutout innings in which he did not allow a hit while striking out three and walking none.

The Rays now look to finish the regular season with a sweep of the Yankees on Sunday afternoon. First pitch Sunday is scheduled for 3:05 PM - pregame coverage begins at 2:30 PM on AM 620 WDAE.
