The New York Yankees (30-25) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (35-21) 5-3 in eleven innings on Tuesday night. Clint Frazier hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the eleventh to secure the win for New York.
The Rays got home runs from Austin Meadows and Kevin Kiermaier to account for their offense on the night, while Miguel Andujar also hit a home run in the fourth inning for New York. Tyler Glasnow allowed three earned runs in seven innings of work while striking out eight and walking two. Andrew Kittredge (5-1, 1.38) was able to work out of danger in the tenth inning, but gave up the bomb to Clint Frazier in the eleventh to take the loss.
The Rays now look to bounce back on Wednesday night in the third game of a four game series. First pitch Wednesday is scheduled for 7:05 PM - pregame coverage begins with Jay Recher and the Inside Pitch at 6 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
