The Tampa Bay Rays (16-15) defeated the Los Angeles Angels (13-15) 8-3 on Tuesday night. The win is the third straight for Tampa Bay and pulls the team back above the .500 mark.

Kevin Kiermaier doubled in the sixth to make it 4-0 and start to pull away. In the eighth inning Austin Meadows came through with a huge three-run home run that put the game away
Shane McClanahan pitched four shutout innings to start the game, while Luis Patino (1-0, 1.17) picked up the win out of the bullpen after allowing one run in three innings pitched while striking out five and walking none. Former Ray Alex Cobb (1-2, 5.48) took the loss for the Angels.
