Rays Bats Come Alive In West Coast Debut

The Tampa Bay Rays (15-15) defeated the Anaheim Angels (13-14) 7-3 on Monday night.

The Rays put together a four-run third inning before Willy Adames made it 5-0 with a homer in the fourth. Though the Angels got three runs back in the sixth, Manuel Margot hit a two-run homer in the top of the ninth to lift the Rays to a 7-3 win.

Tyler Glasnow (4-1, 2.06) got the win after allowing three runs, all earned, on four hits in six innings of work while striking out eight and walking four.

The Rays and Angels meet in game two of the four game series in Anaheim on Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 9:38 - pregame coverage begins with Jay Recher and the Inside Pitch at 8:30 on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
