The Tampa Bay Rays (13-12) shut out the Oakland As (15-10) 2-0 on Wednesday night at Tropicana Field.
Tyler Glasnow (3-1, 1.67) was tremendous in the win, pitching seven shutout innings while allowing just five hits, striking out ten and walking two.
The Rays got all of their offense in the fifth inning - after Mike Zunino homered, Manuel Margot had an RBI single to drive in Brett Phillips to make it 2-0.
The Rays now look to win the four game series against the As when the two teams meet on Thursday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 - pregame coverage begins with Jay Recher and the Inside Pitch at high noon on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
