According to Tampa Bay Times Rays insider Marc Topkin, the Tampa Bay Rays are planning to begin the 2021 regular season with limited fans in the stands at Tropicana Field for home games.
According to the report, the team is hopeful that conditions will be improved in Piniellas county ahead of opening day on April 9th against the New York Yankees where they could allow a socially distanced 7000 people into the confines at Tropicana Field.
