The Tampa Bay Rays announced Saturday that the start of their four-game series against the New York Yankees will now be Friday.
With Major League Baseball changing the Yankees schedule in order to accommodate them playing a four-game series with the Philadelphia Phillies beginning Monday, the Rays have postponed their game Thursday with the Yankees at Tropicana Field and rescheduled it as part of a traditional doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 2:10 pm.
The teams will play two seven-inning contests Saturday, with Friday and Sunday’s games remaining unchanged.
Coverage next Saturday will begin at 1:00 with The Inside Pitch live from Tropicana Field.
