SMITH HITS IL WITH SYMPTOMS: Prior to Saturday's game, the Rays placed catcher Kevan Smith on thre injured list with minor symptoms of coronavirus. The team said Smith was given a test for COVID-19, which was negative, but it would require a second test at least 24 hours apart from the first negative test to allow him to return to the team.

To take Smith's spot on the roster, infielder Daniel Robertson, who is on the team's taxi squad, has been recalled.
