After missing three weeks of work due to testing positive for COVID-19, outfielder Austin Meadows rejoined the Tampa Bay Rays Saturday for workouts. Manager Kevin Cash said Meadows reported to the team's alternate training site in Port Charlotte.
"[He] went through a session with that group in the morning," Cash said. "He noted that it was hot, which obviously it's very hot down there, but that will be good for him to get outside in the elements and get his cardio up and get his timing at the plate."
Cash said there's still no timetable for the outfielder's return, but that his spirits were up being around his teammates and being able to start the process to get back into game shape.
