The Tampa Bay Rays have placed outfielder Austin Meadows on the injured list after he reportedly tested positive for coronavirus.
The team has confirmed the transaction, and Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports that Meadows gave his consent for the team to disclose the positive test.
Meadows practiced the first day of Summer Camp on July 3, but had not been seen at Tropicana Field since.
The team has selected left-handed pitcher Aaron Loup to take Meadows’ place on the roster.
