Rays Cut Back To 25 Players For Tonight's Wild Card

The Tampa Bay Rays have cut their active roster from 39 to end the regular season back to 25 for the start of the postseason, which begins tonight in Oakland against the Athletics. Tampa Bay has decided to use ten pitchers and 15 position players. First pitch is scheduled for 8:09 tonight from the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. UPDATE 2:30 PM: The Rays have released their lineup for tonight's contest, with just two left-handed bats in the lineup. Both Yandy Diaz and Mike Brosseau will start tonight on the right side of the infield as well.
