The Tampa Bay Rays just got Kevin Kiermaier back from the disabled list, and have decided to add another from the west coast.
Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register was the first to report that Tampa Bay had been awarded outfielder Cesar Puello off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels.
Puello appeared in just one game for the Angels, going 1 for 4 and stealing a pair of bases on August 9 against the Baltimore Orioles. In 87 games between AAA Salt Lake (Los Angeles) and Round Rock (Rangers), Puello hit .327 / .377 / .526 with 13 home runs and 61 RBI.
