#6 Kentucky Beats Florida In SEC Opener

The 6th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats (11-2, 1-0) defeated the Florida Gators (10-4, 0-1) 87-85 on Saturday afternoon in Gainesville. The loss snaps a six-game winnings streak for the Gators.

Freshman Aaron Bradshaw hit a three-pointer for Kentucky with 1:27 to go that would prove to be the difference. Antonio Reeves led Kentucky with 19 points, while the Gators got 23 points from both Walter Clayton, Jr, and Zyon Pullin.

The Gators led for much of this game, but went cold late as they went scoreless for more than three minutes down the stretch.

Florida is next in action when they go on the road at Ole Miss. Tipoff between the Gators and Rebels comes up at 9:00 PM on Wednesday night.
