The 25th ranked Florida Gators (3-1) defeated the Charlotte 49ers (1-3) 22-7 on Saturday evening in Gainesville.
Graham Mertz went 20-for-23 with 259 yards passing and a touchdown - he also had a fumble. The Gators built a lead of 16-0 midway through the second quarter before Charlotte got it's only score with 2:30 to go in the first half.
The Gators now travel to Kentucky where they will play on September 30th. Kickoff in that game is scheduled for 12:00 PM ET.
